Saturday Afternoons
|
This morning found me an unusually early riser. I am not one to give up a full eight hours of sleep willingly, but today I was up early. I sat in my pajamas painting our stairs at 7:00 this morning. I had finished every other one last week and hadn't gotten around to the rest until yesterday. But they had to be done today, as we were expecting company later today.
My mom and I had planned to hit the big yard sale that happens in Roadstown about twice a year. (If you go a little early, you get the best bargains.) So through the rain we diehards trekked to see what we could see. I found some books I had been meaning to find. Perhaps you'll hear of them later when I've had opportunity to peruse them. Mom came home with everything from stove-burner covers to Boggle to tiny flower vases.
Once home, we proceeded to prepare for a tea party we've been planning for weeks. Among the expected guests were Mrs. Horn and Cara, GloriaElizabeth & HannahGrace Phero. John came along to visit with James. Unfortunately, due to the aforementioned weather, our tea party/picnic was moved indoors. I had a lovely time chatting with Cara, drinking my favorite hot beverage from dainty little cups, chuckling at Hannah's conversation and eating delicious cheesecake. I will be sure to post pictures of this event whenever I can figure out how.

I will now have to add your site to my early morning blog reading ritual. The tea was lovely. Those little cheesecakes were way too good. Thanks for having us down. So, without further ado, let me express my delight at your blogging aspirations and assure you that I will visit often. Oh, and whoever inspired you to create this blog must be a genius.:)

We don't know who that could be?

Thanks. Free verse is like playing volleyball with the net down. :)

The ShugaBowl |
Sounds like some kind of sports thing, but in reality, the ShugaBowl is just a little hideaway for me, Sugarcube herself, to let loose my thoughts and occasional creativeness. |
