Dad left this morning for a gate job. Mom went with him for the ride. That left James and I alone with a few things to do. A rather short list for expecting to be at home all day.
Item #1 Any of y'all ever corrected your younger siblings' schoolwork for your mom? Ever hit on a subject you know a lot about or maybe enjoy a good deal? Like for instance, WWII or the French Revolution? Those are always fun.
Ever hit on a subject you don't know much about? or would rather it stayed that way? I really think I could have gone my whole life and never cared that I couldn't tell you why a centipede is not an arachnid.
Really.
Item #2 James and Dad have been putting siding on the addition. In an attempt to further the project, James and I were employed as siding nailer-uppers. :-D
This one's James showing me how to make a plumb line.
This is me helping by holding one end of it.
This is me pulling staples out of the ones that went on crooked.
This one is James putting it back on.
And this is the finished thing. :-D

Whee!! the first post! Of course I did get right on as soon as she got off. But that is hardly the finished thing. It goes almost the whole way to the roof now.
