Feeling Homesick
|
One of my housemates, Amber, is leaving for EXCEL on Friday morning. Kind of a let down that I only get to meet her and spend two weeks with her, but to cheer us up, we went with Brittany to Pizza Hut again. Amber didn't get to go last time, and she was simply craving those great breadsticks that they have. Mm-hmm!
So we went out last night. It was great. So relaxing. Working with people in a business atmosphere all the while, you really can't enjoy the friendships that you make, but when you go out shopping or to a restaurant, it becomes a time when girls can be friends instead of coworkers.
My coworkers have departed from the office. Beth Stearn left Saturday to go to the Northwoods for the Families of Promise retreat. Lots of people left with her, but most of them stuck around until today. Elizabeth just came to say goodbye. She left me with a stack of booklets to edit and check typesets on. The office looks so nice and neat without anyone's desk being covered with papers and books. Well, mine is covered but that's because I am still working.
It's so nice to keep a blog. Whenever I get homesick, I go back on my blog and read about all the things I did this summer. It's almost like looking at a scrapbook except that there aren't nearly so many pictures. Last night, I came back to my desk to check email and hit the blogs I haven't seen in a while. I was reading about Lauren's birthday party, the piano recital, the day I spent at the pond with Manda and the day I fetched me a cup of sugar from the Davises. Remember going to Deptford, Danny? That was so fun!
I need to start being descriptive on my posts again, if not for the sake of others, for that of my own. |

The ShugaBowl |
Sounds like some kind of sports thing, but in reality, the ShugaBowl is just a little hideaway for me, Sugarcube herself, to let loose my thoughts and occasional creativeness. |
