Getting to Know Different Folks
|
Would you believe that I have found a fellow Shakespeare reader? Of all things! And would you believe that I have met someone who knows where Brandon, FL is? Because he's from Lakeland! And you'd never think that I'd find someone who has an aversion to plaid pants! (Yeah right. Who doesn't have an aversion to plaid pants?) You find out amazing things about people when you join them for dinner.
Do you know that the girls and guys in my department have an awful mischief streak? Even though practical jokes are technically against the rules, these brainstorms do not quite fall under the practical joke category. Things like hiding under people's desks to scare the wits out of them, and sneaking up behind someone when their concentrating really hard and popping a balloon? Or better yet, writing Union Jack on someone's office door in soap? (The fellow is extremely patriotic.)
Then some of the discussion topics were enough to make me want to burst out laughing. Last night at dinner, the topic went from guys' fashion, to Barbie dolls, to the French Revolution back around to guys' fashion again! I don't know how the Barbie dolls entered the realm of discussion, but it was not by introduction of the ladies present.
This should be an interesting week if it's started out this way. |

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?

The ShugaBowl |
Sounds like some kind of sports thing, but in reality, the ShugaBowl is just a little hideaway for me, Sugarcube herself, to let loose my thoughts and occasional creativeness. |
